Unlockable Skins, New Level, and more!


Skins and Par Times:

This update rewards players who can complete levels blazingly fast! Each level has a set "Par time" for players to clear. If you can clear the time for a particular level, you unlock a distinct skin!

Skins not only change the appearance of the player, but they can alter other elements as well. This includes level colors, firing sounds, particle effects, spawn animations, and more!

To view Par Times, go to the Level Select menu and you will find them in the right-most column. To access the skin menu, you have to beat at least one Par Time.

Levels:

Also, there is a new level which also includes a new level feature: the checkpoint portal. Entering this portal allows the player to warp to a previous checkpoint. My plan is to include this portal in levels where going back to a previous section is impossible through normal means. Use this portal if you missed a target earlier in the level and you don't want to restart the level completely! 

Special Effects:

There are newly added effects to make the game feel more punchy and beautiful.  This includes screen shake and screen flash filters. 

Other Changes:

This update also includes many small changes, including a settings menu! You can change music and sfx volumes, toggle certain special effects, and change the graphics quality settings.

Known Issues:

If you had previously played this game on WebGL (in-browser), you may notice your save data disappearing in this new version.  This is an unfortunate issue and I will look into solving this, but for now, if you really want to keep your save data between versions, please download the desktop version. This problem has to do with the persistentDataPath changing between builds, so if someone can point me in the right direction for a solution it would be much appreciated!
